So close to you, I can see the spark of your iris. So close, yet so far, feeling safe, going insane in my bubble of glass

This is lovely! I adore the colors you used, and the fine detail you put into the illustration. Looks like hard work. Beautiful curious expression she's got there.

Any special story behind the illustration? And since you named this Aquarium 2, is there another watercolor painting you've done that precedes this one? I'm just curious. :)

Can't wait to see more of your stuff when you get the opportunity to post it.

You're right, there was a Aquarium before this one, a much older watercolor that I have painted for a friend. Maybe I'll post it there someday, even though it is not this quality (I grew up since then :))
A story behind that one? Sure... there always is. At the time I painted it I was exiled in Dallas (see the buildings in the background), living confortably in my bubble of glass, but still having friend overseas thinking of me, especially my girlfriend, so close but inaccessible love. Maybe this is the reason for the curious expression?

This is my first attempt to post artwork on a gfx website, I must say I'm glad to receive this welcome, it's very motivating! Thank you all for these encouraging comments (and vote ;)) (hi kss ;) - he's an old strange friend of mine. Great pic of the day!)
Generally I don't use watercolor too much. It's easy to paint but in the other hand you're not allowed to do mistakes. Among my works I like aquarium 2 because it has these intense and shinny colors, and this mix of hapiness and sadness that make it peacefull to look at...

Extremly beautiful. The colors, and how you worked the watercolor, not an easy task.
