Description

Lifeless wandering,
Through the cemetery of the places we've been
Time rubbed out the paths,
Except the one to freezing haze... swallowing our world.

Mured in concrete, my dethroned Queen,
High above we once crossed our branches

Now you're reigning over ruins.

Stretched agony comes to an end
Bitter and resigned I'll go unlearn
To the walls of unsaid
The silent loss of ourselves

Nice to have you back at gfx.
Hm... Lost Dryads in a world of concrete.

After I checked out steps and later fullsize image, it took my breath away. Magnificant piece of art!
Just curious... how much would that painting cost?

damn I just saw your name for the first time and instantly watched all your other pics. You are one of the most talented artists that I saw in a long time. I'm honored to be able to see your work. Thank you.

I´m impressed ... the more I look 'into' the picture - the more I´m lost in it ...

Considering the time spent, this would be more than 15000euros. Which sounds obscene to me, so I just don't sell...!

Anyway, thanks.

holy sh..i don't usually comment but this is an excellent piece of you work! there's so much depth, and the colors and architecture are so odd. strangely, i feel like i've been there before...

The woman is the key point of the story. The change in hue is intented to reinforce the feeling of her isolation. /quote] The woman is the key point of the story. The change in hue is intented to reinforce the feeling of her isolation.

Unbeliveable masterpiece. Keep on, zancan!
Your works have some magic inside. I fell like hypnotized.
Makes me wanting to grab a pencil (or whatever) and draw and paint until death...

(Don't get me *that* seriously... :))

Great painting. But, I'm curious about the phallic buildings. Did you create them that way intentionally, is it merely coinsidence, or am I just a dirty-minded person who needs more sleep?

Avatar zancan

 04/04/04 @468

You're just one among the 3 people who told me that (my sister first). It was not done intentionally, but this idea seduces me somehow, it quite matches the theme so i won't blame you!
.anyway that answer doesn't prevent you from appearing a dirty-minded :)

I cannot believe it... is exactly the same illustration that I am doing! I am gotten depressed, when my inspiration returns is that it is a plagiarism (involuntary, of course).
I am drawing "the revenge of Gaia" (the mother earth)... a naked woman upon a building; in the back sees a city. This one is destroyed by the magic of Gaia that has turned it a big forest...

So far I only have made the main figure (Gaia), so I will try not to make the city just as yours.

I am sad :(

Please... don't tell me anybody could have done this the same way! My painting came from deep inside of me, from a true story that was turning my head and heart upside down every single day... this cannot be your story, this cannot be your painting style, the same colours, this cannot be the same woman (mine is not just one woman, she is the unique one who originated the story and modeled for me), the expression of her body and on her face is not just one random expression. Everything in it is obviously different; if not, it means you're under influence so please get rid of the walls of unsaid.

And sadness can be a beautiful inspiration... :)

it is not exactly the same one (I have exaggerated)... I do not have finished it, so that cannot be equal, is simply that in my mind it was very similarity, but now I am not going to do it thus, of course. it is one hurts because I nerver thank an original drawing, for that reason I am sad. Anyway I'd never had been able to make a drawing as good as yours. :)

you will verify it when I finish it (someday.... )

What programs/mediums did you create this in? It's fantastic, btw... great perspective, concept, and composition.

I dont see how you can do anything that fantastic. Im lucky if i can make a stick fugure look like a stick figure, but your talent turns everything into a new form. Im glad that all of your artists are willing to take the time to entertain us viewers. Very good work. love it. Thanks again for your time and effort.
